The Ducati Streetfighter V2 has been given a new set of performance accessories by the Bologna manufacturer, as well as some more visual add-ons.
The Streetfigher V2’s new accessories include a whole bunch of Ducati by Rizoma billet aluminium pieces. Included in this set are mirrors, front brake and clutch reservoirs and levers, handlebar counterweights, brake lever protector, a fork slider (for protection in a crash), a racing-style fuel filler cap, and an oil filler cap.
Beyond the billet pieces, there is also an array of carbon items, including wings, like those found on the Streetfighter V4 S, as well as a carbon number plate holder and carbon mudguards for both ends.
The biggest piece in the new accessories collection for the Streetfighter V2 is the titanium silencer, built by Akrapovic. Ducati says the add-on silencer is worth a 2.5 per cent increase in maximum power, which works out at about 4bhp on top of the 153bhp of the bike with the stock pipe. Additionally, there is a two per cent increase in the peak torque, which equates to around a 1.5lb ft gain on the stock set-up’s 74.8lb ft. Ducati says there is also a 2 per cent gain in mid-range power, and a nine per cent gain in mid-range torque. Perhaps the biggest gain of the titanium pipe, though, is the 5kg weight reduction over the standard silencer. The only downside is that the titanium pipe is for track use only.
It’s also possible to save even more weight with the single-seat tail, which gets rid of the passenger seat and footrests.
