The British motorcycle manufacturer Norton has announced a new partnership with the charity Mental Health Motorbike.
The new partnership will see Norton make a financial donation to Mental Health Motorbike (MHM), but perhaps more importantly it will also see the manufacturer send its employees for training as mental health first aiders.
Initially, this training will be for a cohort of 16 Norton employees, with these trained employees also set to be in attendance at MHM events.
Additionally, Norton says it will “form a committee that is dedicated to supporting the company’s employees, as well as the wider biking community,” as well as the local area around its Solihull base.
Rob Ridgway, Head of HR at Norton Motorcycles, said: “Norton is committed to supporting our employees both inside and outside of the workplace, as well as the wider motorcycle community that many of them are part of. Partnering with Mental Health Motorbike is another way we can ensure that they are getting the help they need and are equipped to help others in need too.”
