The LS2 Pioneer motorcycle helmet comes with a new shell for 2024, which helps the model achieve the latest safety standards.
The key to the new shell, which ensures ECE 22.06 certification for the new Pioneer II, is LS2's exclusive Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) — “a strong material rivalling high-end composites, which offers flexibility for energy absorption and high penetration resistance,” LS2 says.

The new shell comes in three different outer sizes, covering between them sizes XS-3XL, and weighs in at 1.65kg.
LS2 Intercom, developed in conjunction with Cardo Systems, is compatible with the new helmet, which is also Pinlock 70 Max Vision-ready and comes with both a quick-release primary visor and a secondary, interior sun visor.
Being an adventure sports helmet, a peak is included, but it is also removable and adjustable, while ventilation is managed by multiple intake ports, internal channelling through the helmet's EPS liner, and exhaust ports at the rear of the shell. Further, the lining is breathable and hypoallergenic, as well as removable and washable. It also features an Emergency Release System to, according to LS2, "allow first responders to remove the cheek pads with minimal movement of a fallen rider's head and neck."
The new LS2 Pioneer II is available now for £119.99 in its standard Solid Black colour. Three different graphic options are also available, which LS2 says are “designed to complement the latest crop of adventure bikes,” and which up the price to £139.99.
