CFMoto is bringing its youth dirt bikes to the UK, as the pricing and availability of the CX-2E and CX-5E are confirmed.
Both of the new machines will be available through UK CFMoto dealerships, with the CX-2E being aimed at riders aged between four and seven years old, and the CX-5E for riders between eight and twelve years old.
Powering the CX-2E is a 48V-BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) e-motor with a maximum power output of 1.6bhp and 4.7lb ft of torque. It’s capable of a maximum speed of 15mph and is claimed to accelerate from 0 to 12mph in just 2.6 seconds.
The slightly larger CX-5E is propelled by a 48V-BLDC e-motor with a maximum power output of 2bhp and a peak torque of 5.1lb ft. Its top speed is capped at 27mph, and it is said to reach 12mph in a claimed 2.1 seconds. Both bikes are powered by the same removable 48V24Ah 1152Wh lithium-ion battery, providing 48 miles of running for the CX-2E and 37 miles for the CX-5E.
Performance statistics aside, the main difference between the two models is the size. They share the same steel cradle frame, although the CX-5E boasts a 14-inch front and 12-inch rear wheel combo, while the smaller CX-2E gets 10-inch wheels front and rear. The CX-2E also features suspension with less travel than its larger sibling.
CF Moto CX-2E and CX5-E price
Both bikes are going to be on sale in June through UK CFMoto dealerships, and the CX-2E has a confirmed price of £1,599 while the CX-5E comes in at £2,199.
